VLDTION Desktop
A local desktop application. You download it, install it on the accountant’s own machine, and it reads your exports from disk. Every record, finding, reconciliation and note lives in a database file on that computer. There is no account, no workspace to log into, and nothing to upload.

Release candidate. Not released for public download
VLDTION 0.6.0 is not published. The release gate refuses it for the reasons below, and this page reports what the gate reports rather than deciding separately.
- No artefact has been built for macOS.
- 5 of 5 artefacts are unsigned: no code-signing certificate is held.

Recorded by the script that hashed the files, so a digest above can be traced to the environment that produced it rather than to somebody’s recollection of one.
Why there is no download button
None of these artefacts is signed. No code-signing certificate is held, and an unsigned installer is not something to hand to a practice that handles client data. The digests above are here so that a build you produce yourself can be checked against the build described here: not as a substitute for a signature.
Build it yourself with npm run desktop:build. The procedure, the toolchain versions and the exact environment restrictions are recorded in docs/desktop-build.md.
This page is generated from public/releases/latest.json, which the release script writes by reading each artefact: its size, its SHA-256 and its signature state all come from the file itself. A platform with no artefact says so rather than showing a button that does nothing.
What installing gives you
A real database file
Records, runs, reconciliations and notes live in vldtion.db in the application data folder, which you can back up, copy or move.
System file dialogs
Imports and exports go through the operating system's own dialogs and real paths, not a browser sandbox.
It works offline
Import, validate, reconcile, investigate, document, back up and restore all run with the machine disconnected.
No account
No sign-up, no workspace, no licence server and no telemetry between you and the software.
VLDTION processes accounting data locally. That describes the architecture of the software, not a security certification, and no accreditation is claimed. See data handling for the specifics.
