The desktop application is the product
VLDTION is a program you install. This website sells it, explains it and distributes it. It does not run it, and no accounting data of yours should ever reach it.
What VLDTION is
A local desktop application for Israeli accounting practices: it imports the exports your accounting system already produces, validates them against deterministic rules, reconciles bank statements and control accounts, and produces working papers with the evidence behind every finding.
| Runs on | Your computer, Windows, macOS or Linux |
| Stores data in | A SQLite file in the application's own data folder |
| Needs an account | No |
| Needs a network | No |
| Sends anything anywhere | No |
What VLDTION is not
- Not a cloud accounting platform. There is no VLDTION server holding your books.
- Not an ERP or a replacement accounting system. It reads what your system exports; it never writes back.
- Not an AI fraud detector. Every rule is deterministic, versioned and inspectable, and none of them establishes intent.
- Not an online upload service. Nothing about the product involves sending a client's ledger to anybody.
- Not a browser application. The website is built without the application in it: its screens are compiled only into the desktop build, so there is no address on this site that serves one.
Where your data goes
Into a file on your machine, and nowhere else. Imports are read from disk through the operating system’s own file dialogs; normalised records, findings, reconciliations, notes and the review trail are written to vldtion.db in the application data directory; exports are written to a path you choose in a save dialog.
Verified by inspection, not by assertion
fetch, XMLHttpRequest, WebSocket or sendBeacon call outside tests, and no console logging at all. There is no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, no cloud sync, no external AI and no exchange-rate service. The desktop capability set grants two dialogs, reading a file you chose, writing a file you chose, and SQL against one database path, no shell, no HTTP, no updater. What works offline
All of it. Disconnect the machine and you can still open a workspace, import CSV, Excel, BKMVDATA and Hashavshevet MOVEIN exports, import a bank statement and a rate register, validate, reconcile the bank, reconcile control accounts and subledgers, investigate findings, record dispositions, generate working papers, export evidence, back the workspace up and restore it.
Nothing in that list touches a network, because nothing in the product can. The only parts of VLDTION that use the internet are this website and the act of downloading the installer.
What this website is for
- Explaining what the application does, with previews built from its own components.
- Documentation, formats, rules, methodology, security and data handling.
- The download page, which lists exactly what has been built for which platform, with digests.
- Contact and commercial questions.
- Bounded previews of the application's screens, drawn from synthetic fixtures, so you can look before installing.
That is the whole of it. The website never receives an accounting file, never processes one, and has no database of yours to hold.
Updates
There is no updater. The application does not check for new versions, does not phone home, and cannot download or run anything. A release manifest is published on this site so that a person downloading an installer can verify its digest. The application itself never reads it.
